Avangard Upper Receiver
Working together with Serbu Firearms, what was once the SU-15 now reimagined as the Avangard. We are bringing a much-needed update to the AR platform, Compatible with any Mil Spec AR-15 lower receiver and feature rich. This Upper Receiver is the answer to many short comings of the standard AR-15 upper receiver.
Description
The Avangard is a redesigned, modern version of Mark Serbu’s SU-15 Design. Having never reached the market place this amazing design was sat aside. We are now picking up where Mark had left off, bringing new updates, modern design, and even more simplicity to this incredible upper receiver. Featuring Ambidextrous non reciprocating side charging handles, One-piece solid extrusion construction for the ultimate answer to rail rigidity, Direct impingement “Piston” style gas system for extremely clean and simple operation, completely tool-less field strip disassembly, Tool-less gas block and gas adjustment, Buffer-less Recoil system, and open source to AR-15 components. This Design is the answer to many short comings on the standard AR-15 Upper receiver system. Utilizing standard AR-15 Barrels, Bolt heads, Firing pins, Cam pins, and mounting to any Mil Spec Lower Receiver, the Avangard is open source for custom builds as well.
We will be offering this Upper in pre-configured fully assembled uppers, in 5.56, .300blk, and 7.62×39. These offerings will come in both Carbine and Pistol Length Gas systems in a variety of barrel lengths. Along with fully assembled uppers we will be offering DIY Kits. The DIY kits will include all the proprietary components of the Avangard excluding all standard AR-15 components. With these kits any AR-15 compatible Caliber can be built into an Avangard assembly, the only requirements are that barrels need to be carbine or pistol length gas systems and .750 journal diameters.
